Shedding Light On Vein Illumination

Locating patients’ veins using ambient or practice lighting can prove to be a challenge for many practitioners, but it doesn’t have to be. Veinlite LEDX® makes light work of this sometimes tedious task, making veins easily visible for simple blood tests and varicose and spider vein treatment.

Veinlite LEDX® is the well-deserved leader in vein access devices in the field of sclerotherapy. Boasting state-of-the-art, innovative technology, the Veinlite LEDX® produces a bright light that, when placed on the patients’ skin, illuminates de-oxygenated blood in their veins, revealing them as dark lines.

The device is handheld, rechargeable and easy to use, and the wide, crescent-shaped opening – which is 10mm larger than standard vein illumination devices – improves the viewing area when locating veins, subsequently speeding up appointment times.

The Veinlite LEDX® makes the perfect companion to Radiofrequency Ablation (RA) treatment for varicose and spider veins. The smart device can easily locate both small, superficial veins and deeper veins to be targeted in RA treatment, making the globally-recognised vein treatment even faster and more efficient.

Colour Switching

The Veinlite LEDX® features a larger focus area and 32 LED bulbs that provide the highest and most ideal contrast imaging for sclerotherapy treatments. It has two different light settings: red and orange, which are easy to switch between when treating different patient concerns. Colour switching allows the practitioner to see and treat both superficial and deeper varicose vein structures at ease in the one session, increasing treatment efficiency.

The orange light setting offers the best contrast, making it ideal for viewing veins in fair skin, in overweight patients and for viewing small, superficial veins.

The red light setting has a longer wavelength, facilitating a deeper examination of deeper and feeder veins, and making it ideal for patients with darker pigmentation.

Veinlite LEDX® is operated with disposable light covers that reduce interference from ambient light, improving accuracy while maintaining a sterile environment for the patient and practice.
